Experienced. Knowledgeable. Responsive. These are words Jacqueline A. Dorsey values in her practice. But she also considers herself highly competitive. “We are competitive with Twin Cities firms. If I didn’t think we could provide high quality legal work, I wouldn’t be here,” she says.
Background and Achievements
Jacqui is versatile and has a broad range or experience, handling trusts and estates matters (planning, probate, litigation), business transactions, and family law. Her experience started before earning her legal degree, when she worked as a legal assistant and law clerk for 20 years in Beverly Hills, Seattle, Phoenix, the Twin Cities, and Northfield.
Jacqui has also lent her support to improving the quality of service provided by lawyers. She has trained law students in client counseling skills and was an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline College of Law teaching estates and trusts. She was appointed to a committee charged with studying the manner of selecting judges in Minnesota and continues to believe in the necessity of a fair and impartial judiciary.
Community Involvement
She believes in giving back to the community through involvement and support to nonprofits. Jacqui is currently serving on the board of Minnesota Continuing Legal Education. She is a founding member of WINGS (Women in Northfield Giving Support) a women’s foundation. She previously served at The Saint Paul & Minnesota Community Foundations (10 years), GIVE MN, Minnesota State Bar Foundation, and Defeat of Jesse James Days, among others.
Key Accomplishment: She has enjoyed teaching legal issues through Northfield Community Education and 50 North for 20 years.
