Maya E. Missaghi
Practice Areas
Probate, Estate Planning, Guardianship
Maya has been practicing law since 2016 in the areas of elder law, probate, estate planning, and guardianship. She most enjoys contested cases where a good argument is in order. Before becoming a lawyer, Maya worked as a preschool and pre-kindergarten teacher at a French immersion school in the Twin Cities. This experience prepared her well for handling difficult personalities, temper tantrums, and tough negotiators, as well as finding ways to play nicely together.
When she isn’t analyzing everyone in the room, Maya is relaxing at home in St. Paul with her husband, two children, and dog (already analyzed). She enjoys walks, bike rides, gardening, good books, and good company, as well as the occasional attempt at cooking (60/40 success rate). She has been an active volunteer at her children’s elementary school and strongly believes in the power and impact of neighbors coming together to create community and a sense of belonging.
